Yes, yes, I know Valentine's Day is a "hallmark holiday," yet I love romance and love so much that I can't help but celebrate, well, LOVE. Even if you just remember to tell one person that you love them today or smile a little extra at strangers on the street, more love in the world could only be a good thing. I find that little boys often do have a naturally silly side to them and I love to bring that out. A San Francisco session with baby Chase allowed that playful side to shine. The always amazing game of throwing a hat onto the ground (or anything for that matter) brought some real gutsy giggles out (ones that still make me smile today). I find that just under a year old is the perfect age for witnessing the emerging comedian. And reminds us all to smile and laugh A LOT more. Thanks for the reminder, little wise one!

Working with these two adorable sisters, ages 5 and 8, I thought of the bond I have with my own sister. A sisters' relationship is unique, protective, loving, pesky at times, and hopefully, honest and true. I was overjoyed to witness and photograph such a strong and loving bond that simultaneously lends itself to a desire for a unique identity, providing the landscape for the individial beauty of each girl to shine as brightly as the specialness of sisterhood.
While on a recent trip to New York and Brooklyn, I had the joy of meeting and photographing this content and sweet baby girl. Even through she was nearing a month old, she slept peacefully allowing us to manipulate her musical influences at a very young age ;) If she grows up to be a musician (like her dad), this can be her album cover.
