I can't believe it's May already! How did that happen so fast?
Once again, I've been reminded that you never know what kind of mood a little one will be in. Once in a while, I work with a youngin' who is shy at first, maybe getting some new teeth, didn't have the greatest of naps, etc. You name it, it happens. When a situation like this arises, I always try to work with what we got - in this case, beautiful parents to incorporate into a number of photos. Baby V wanted her parents to hold her often and not stray too far. When a child wants her parents, I use her parents.
Paying attention to when a baby needs breaks and a little cuddle time is so important. I always make use of that time, either creating a shot within the snuggles or perfecting the setup for my next shot.
You can see just how much this little one loved her parents in the bottom portrait. Cradled by mom and leaning on dad. I'm a big fan of backlighting, giving it that magical stardust feel. Yippee! Baby V was being comforted here by her posed parents. You can see with some patience and careful manipulation, you can acheive some beautiful images even when it seems like a challenging session.
I had such a sweet time photogrpahing this sweet girl, little A. She was so expressive and was exceptionally happy and tolerant for a wee one! Such beautiful pale and soft skin with hay like hair, the scenery was perfect.
