Often, I try to explain to clients in an email what to expect for their session. How many poses we can do, how warm the house should be and how long the session will take are all common questions they may have. Answers are: about 35 different portraits with around 10 different setups and then parents and baby portraits, around 80 degrees, and 5 hours start to finish (this includes me bringing my props and setting up a "mini studio" in their home). Newborn photography requires a special touch, lots of knowledge and experience and immense patience (poses can take 20 minutes each). These sisters were visiting from Ireland and their lovely curls and beautiful pale skin were to die for. Because the older sister had so many portraits of her already, we focused on the little one. I love the little one's curiousity and wonder when exploring in nature...just precious.
